Melbourne's  Living Museum
of the West

Annual Report 2002

Education Program

Museum Director, Peter Haffenden, takes a school group through the History of the Land Garden, explaining the history of the Maribyrnong Valley with the garden as a guide to stages in that history.

The Museum takes tertiary and secondary work experience students all through the year. Students are asked to bring their own ideas to a project that is usually then published in the public domain.

Anna Yeung, from Footscray City Secondary College, wrote
an environmental mystical story inspired by research into the Maribyrnong River.

East Timorese student, Fu Seng Tsom, from Debney Park Secondary College, produced a series of ‘Christmas Cards’ for the Museum.
