Commiunity Building Program

Through a long standing partnership with the Inner Western Region Migrant Resource Centre the Museum organises environmental picnic workshops with a number of ethnic groups as part of a familiarisation process with the local environment.

This giant chess board is located in the History of the Land Gardens. It was created by local people with disabilities for the enjoyment of Park users.

South Morang is a new suburb within the City of Whittlesea next to the Plenty Gorge.
The snake mosaic is part of 64 sq. metre mosaic artwork designed by Urban Colours/ the Wurundjeri Council and artist Libby McKinnon.
The mosaic was constructed with the participation of the new local residents and primary school students at South Morang aiming to give them a knowledge about their local environment and its natural resources.
