Sunbury
The
end of this walk. In the river scrub I saw three wallabies and five
kangaroos in an hour. The grasses are spectacular here: poa tussocks
in the creek bed, redleg grass, silky blue grass, a curly sort of
spear grass ( the desiccated leaf twists like flowing hair), two
or three types of wallaby grasses, kangaroo grass, weeping grass.
Lomandra filiformis and longifolia, mat rushes growing between the
clumps. On the red stone cliffs in the background there is some
native tobacco clinging precariously, when I saw it, so was I.
