- Feeds on animal and vegetable material
- Most common species is shore crab
- Uses their claws to capture pray
Backswimmer

- Are predators
- Feeds off insects from the surface
- Eats other aquatic animals
- Carries an air bubble for breathing underwater
Midges

- A type of fly
- Is an insect
- Has lighting-fast lifecycles which allows them to breed up in vast numbers in just a few days
