Melbourne’s Living Museum of the West Melbourne’s Living Museum of the West is located at Pipemakers Park. The Museum has researched everything that has occurred in the Western suburbs since far back as World War II. The Museum has researched: - the land (from Aboriginal land to Bullet factories to Pipemakers factories etc) - plants and animals that have survived in the area for years - basically all the history of the Western Region area and its relation to Melbourne. The Museum wants to invite all schools to visit the Living Museum of the West and see their exhibitions they have worked so hard on. A lot of time, researched and planning has gone into thoroughly constructing their exhibitions, one especially the Pobblebonk Exhibition. The Museum offers great quantity of local materials and their research has been collected over years which will provide teachers with insightful lesson plans. By visiting the museum teachers will be able to provide the students with insightful information saving time and effort on researching the topic themselves.
